Ben-Gvir of Israel wants the conflict to resume following reports of IDF attacks.

Israel's far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has called for the battle against Hamas to resume in response to allegations of an attack on Israeli troops in the Gaza Strip. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should order the IDF to "completely and with full force start combat operations in the Gaza Strip," he wrote in a post on X.

Ben-Gvir commented, "As anticipated, the misleading idea that Hamas will alter its position or even follow an agreement it has signed is proving hazardous to Israeli security." He wrote that the sooner this is done, the better. "The Nazi terrorist organization must be fully eliminated," he wrote. Israeli troops in the southern Gaza Strip were targeted by Hamas, a Palestinian Islamist movement, according to prior reports from Israeli media. The Israeli military called the incident a "serious violation of the truce," but at first it was unclear exactly what had happened.

Israeli troops in the southern Gaza Strip were targeted by Hamas, a Palestinian Islamist movement, according to prior reports from Israeli media. The Israeli military called the incident a "serious violation of the truce," but at first it was unclear exactly what had happened. According to an Israeli military official, a rocket-propelled grenade was used to target Israeli troops. There were also reports of an Israeli unit being fired upon by a Palestinian sniper. The Israeli Air Force then hit targets in Rafah, according to Israeli media. Since October 10, Israel and Hamas have maintained a declared truce in the Gaza Strip. Nonetheless, a number of violent instances have already occurred. Ben-Gvir voted against the ceasefire accord, which he has denounced from the start.
